Aug. 22nd, 2010 10:51 pmI was really gonna catch up on all the administrivia of life.
Then on Thursday I visited Posi and Mallory and had Chinese buffet (along with Tybis) and didn't meet their new lizard who was hiding under a rock.
On Friday I picked Michelle up at the Metra station right around the end of work and the two of us went down to Chinatown with Synicism and wandered around until 10:30 at night, getting some yummy food and even yummier bean buns, sesame balls, and cake from a little storefront bakery.
On Saturday morning, I drove to Lake Geneva with Michelle, bought a hat, had some biscuits and gravy, explored some stores, and got a parking ticket. We drove to Kenosha and stopped at the mushroom store (yummy yummy mushroom store) and then I visited my parents briefly before kidnapping my brother and going over to Todd and Serin's place to meet up with Posi for The Dark Knight, Buzz, Sherlock, and lots of pizza, followed by the three of us standing in the parking lot of their apartment talking until after eleven at night and marveling at all the spiders on the garage.
On Sunday, having slept on my parents' (once mine) futon, my mother and brother (other brother, now back from Lansing) and I drove out to my grandparents' house to watch said brother's video of his appellate moot court argument and look at my pictures from the trip Grandpa and I took to the Forevertron (which didn't seem to be viewable on the hard drive we brought so I'm visiting again on Thursday with the whole darn laptop). Then I told my parents how much I thought they'd like Sherlock and, after my dad procured a copy, the three of us watched the first episode. I love that show! Thanks Todd and Serin for introducing me. Finally I packed up my stuff and drove home to Rogers Park where I just got a shower and am thinking about going to bed.
This coming week, I have three days in a row of nothing-planned-yet. I may be able to get the things I'm supposed to get done done. Wish me luck.
And before I do that, here's another picture from the Badger. I like this one.
