I'm really glad I stopped at the CVS to buy some diet soda. A family was in a car in the parking lot, and the male parent was by the hood looking like I look when I need someone to jump my car. I was able to help get their car started. In fact, my jumper cables were still sitting in my passenger seat from the last time I used them. Which was recently. He thanked me several times, and I told him that, believe me, I know what it's like. I feel so good when I can help someone out.

And before that, in the quiet parking lot across the main road from campus where I park my car, there were two deer standing on a median between sections. They started at me while I walked to my car, so I started back, watching their heads track me as I made my way across the pavement. I got to my car and stopped and they ran off toward the nearby wooded area. I could hear their hooves clattering on the pavement as they went. It's been a good evening.

Now I just have to finish up this draft and get it printed, then get to school to pick up the box I accidentally left at the help desk with my soup bowl from this evening in it!

When I was at the little Asian grocery store next to Sushi Para, I picked up a product that I just love and have been missing. It's basically chopped up chili in oil. I'm not sure what kind of chili, but I just had a piece of bread spread with hummus and then spread with a good layer of this stuff on top and it's like burning heaven in my mouth.
