Aug. 9th, 2013 01:35 pmI'm getting ready to go out the door to walk to the train and, as is typical, I'm very anxious that I've forgotten to pack something. Lists would help a lot, and sometimes I start to make them, but my follow-through in that area leaves something to be desired. Regardless, I look forward to a weekend with
lisagems, and a couple weeks in Canada with
danaeris.
While I was out today, I found a Super Nintendo at the Salvation Army for $5. I picked it up and put it back down again so I could look for the power supply and things. Once I determined that they were actually in the store, I picked it all up together and brought it to the checkout. I was surprised when the clerk rang up each item (console, 2 controllers, and power supply) separately. I can only shake my head. Still, it came to about $10 all together, and that's still a decent deal. It will also let me finally test some of the old SNES games we have sitting around before Ebaying them. We have a few that are worth a little bit of money, and since playing them on an emulator is very nearly as good, It'll be nice to get a little cash out of them.
