Sep. 30th, 2013 08:37 pmAfter working at the archives, attending class, running an SI session, and attending the class I'm doing SI for, I stayed late working in the map room to get practice in for my map use exam coming up. I felt pretty good about determining latitude/longitude and UTM coordinates, but I wanted a little hands-on practice to make sure.
I biked home at about 7:15. It was the first time I've done a bike commute in the dark, and I rather enjoyed it. My front light is bright enough to navigate routes I know well, though I wanted to want to go somewhere new. It was quiet, traffic was fairly light, and the prevailing winds were going the right way. It was a good evening ride.
I've kind of decided that, rather than buying myself some manga every month, I'm going to treat myself to one volume for each five days I bike to school. Motivation!
It's been a long day. I think I have just enough time to do laundry for tomorrow, make dinner, take a shower, and get to bed. Good thing I got my paper for tomorrow done on the weekend! (Well, ok; I need to give it a once over. But almost done!)
