My elderly next-door neighbor fell in her driveway and cracked four ribs this morning. I spent a few hours taking her to the hospital and back and getting a prescription filled for her. I hope she recovers quickly. I also hope she follows directions on the breathing thing and the medications they gave her.

My sleep schedule is off, and playing Ultima 5: Lazarus last night didn't help. It got late enough that I decided I'd just stay up all night and go to bed early tonight. That's still the plan, though I did nod off in the hospital waiting room.

I started into Foucault's "Discipline and Punish" today. The description of torture in the beginning was kind of stomach-turning.
