There are Always Complications

I thought I'd get all my senior portfolio stuff printed out tonight and get to bed earlyish. Instead, I've spent a couple hours finishing up title pages and stuff, then run out of toner, then had the replacement toner cartridge I ordered a while back as a spare fail to work correctly. Now it's 1 in the morning and my stuff's not printed and I have to get to Parkside early enough to print it there, which means I probably need to get up in six or seven hours.

The semester's almost over, right?

Cleaning, Organizing, Moving!

Hey folks! I did a bunch of cleaning and organizing of my living space. Lots of music, throwing out of things, and putting things in their place. It's a nice feeling.

However, I'm realizing that I'm fast approaching the time to start collecting boxes, both to put things in storage somewhere-or-other while I'm in New York, and to pack stuff to take with me to said state. I can probably get a lot of boxes from late-night runs to Woodman's (a local large grocery store), but if you happen to have a bunch of moving boxes you want to get rid of, or know someone who does, I'd be happy to take them off of your hands.

(This is more of a cross-post from Facebook I suppose, though normally It's the other way around in my head. I know few local people on LJ these days. You're all too far away! Come visit! *grins*)

Coincidental Dedication

Having received the books I ordered from Verso Books a few days ago, I just sat down with David Harvey's "Rebel Cities." Opening it to the dedication page, I read "For Delfina and all other graduating students everywhere."

I take this as a hint that this is the right time for me to read this book!
