In New York City
Oct. 1st, 2015 10:48 pmI am settled in to a hostel at 101st Street in Manhattan with Miriam Boon, which is a thoroughly wonderful thing. However, I am also sick with a nasty cold; I am sneezing and dripping all over. I feel icky and spent most of today sleeping, because timing is wonderful.
She and I are sitting on couches in the lobby working. I, more accurately, am trying to work, but it's difficult between feeling tired and crummy. Oh well; I'm still happy to be here with my partner. I miss her so much in Syracuse.
I'm also simply happy to be in New York City again. I couldn't help it when I walked up the stairs from the Port Authority bus terminal into Times Square; a giant goofy smile spread across my face. I just kept looking around and smiling as I walked across the road to the subway station and found my way down to the platform. I love this city so much; I'd rather live here than anywhere else I've ever visited.
