(no subject)

I have a lot of stuff to write about, but I still feel uncomfortable about writing much on social media. I may write on DW/LJ, and just keep interacting with other people's content on FB for a while.

Animals have the best timing. At one point this weekend while Erik and I were very much occupied on the couch, there was a bump against my leg. I looked over to see Fluffy, his dog, holding his empty bowl, looking at us as if to say "I don't know what you two are doing there, but you need to refill this as soon as possible."

By the way, Erik commented that his partner John found him a keychain with his name on it at Mammoth Cave. This was exciting because it is apparently really hard to find tourist tchotchkes with Erik-with-a-K on them rather than Eric-with-a-C.

So if you are in any particularly interesting or unusual places, and you happen to see something with "Erik" on it that references that particular place (rather than just being a generic item with a name), and you'd be willing to buy it and send it to me, let me know and I'd probably pay you back for item and shipping. It would be fun to have some little things like that for him from time to time.
