May. 30th, 2007 03:06 pmGood things.
My truck had a ruptured pressure hose in the power steering system, explaining the sudden loss of power steering. The rattle up front was because of the sway bar that I already knew was broken but was getting worse. Total cost of repairs: about 1.75 hundred dollars. Less then I feared.
I talked to the CTA's publicity person yesterday on the phone. Yes, I actually picked it up, firmly entrenched myself in my work persona, and called her. Bottom line is that photography is ok within CTA facilities provided no tripod, light rig, or other such stuff is used. Handheld camera and video recording equipment is ok. You're not allowed to go into off-limits areas just because you have a camera, which should be obvious anyway. She let me know that if CTA employees prevent me from taking pictures, I can ask them to call the control center for clarification on the policy. I still need to track down Metra and Citicorp contacts to ask about photography policy on their property.
I have dinner with my parents tonight. That will be nice.
I plan to spend some time tonight catching up on cleaning and laundry, and hopefully playing some Dance Dance. Weekend report is still in progress.
