stormdogI've been shot! But it's ok; it was only superficial.
The tetanus shot this morning was darn near painless. Quite honestly, I felt a slight something when she put the needle in, but I had to look to see if it was actually in or she'd just brushed my arm with something. She'd done the injection and put a bandage over the site almost before I'd noticed. I had slight stiffness for a little while after the injection, but that's almost gone already. All in all, far from worth getting worked up about. I really thought that an intramuscular injection would cause a lot more pain than that; there was barely even discomfort! The nurse did this nifty thing where she told me to put my arm against my hip and push. That relaxes the muscle that she injected into. Apparently that works really well!
I was going to pack the remainder of things that haven't been claimed into my truck to take them to work tomorrow, but Andrea's car may not be done in time. The mechanic says he's worked four hours on it and isn't quite sure what's wrong with it yet, though he's hunting down some trouble codes. I can relate to that; I've had some computers that were similarly laconic in telling me what their issues were. I'm not worried; I like my mechanic and I'm sure they'll get it figured out.

stevie_maxwell tonight since my night got away from me yesterday and I didn't call him like I was supposed to. I'm sorry Stevie. I have your number from Serin; I'll give you a call before I go over to my parents place for dinner.
There's more stuff going on, but I probably don't have the time to go into it, and this may not be the right time anyway. Things are busy! The unexpected free weekend, much as I was looking forward to seeinguberhill in Minnesota, will be nice for catching up on stome things around the house. I feel so accomplished just in getting all the techy bits out, and getting more done will be even better. I get to squeeze in hanging out with several people in the near future too, tybis and mocha_mephooki particularly.
The meeting yesterday with the aforementioned Tybis andposicat was fun. It's an interesteing project that Posi is talking about doing. Some of the coding and database design is a bit over my head, but it is something I'd like to learn more about. I just don't know if I have the time to devote to it. We'll see I suppose.
