Oct. 11th, 2007 10:21 amI seem to be catching something. I woke up at some way too early hour in the morning with a terrible case of shakes and chill. I was shivering and knocking my teeth together like it was thirty degrees in the house. I got back from the bathroom and wrapped myself around
moiracoon like I was a heat vampire.
I was feeling better this morning, though I still have a bit of a chill. I have that aching in the joints that frequently accompanies serious cold. I guess I'm overdue; I can't remember the last time I was sick.
I was going to have some of the hot chocolate that sits in our break room, but after washing my cup and putting hot water in it, I found that we were out. Instead I had some of that mint tea that's been sitting in my desk drawer; interestingly, it not only helped warm me up a little bit, but it tasted better than I remember.
I told Andrea in email that I'd like to go to Teavana and pick out some other teas, but I know that I'm too lazy to ever use loose leaf tea. She told me that you can apparently get these teapots where you just put the leaves in a strainer basket and pour hot water over them and into your cup. Who knew? I may actually try that.
Since I managed to acquire a copy of both Photoshop and Lightroom, I'm going to build a 3Ghz desktop that followed me home from work with XP and see if they work. I'd really like to start shooting in RAW with my camera, but I haven't had software that would let me do anything with those files.
In the same vein, I'm reading a really great tutorial on sharpening your digital images that I found referenced in a photography mailing list I'm on. Here's a link; it's pretty nifty stuff and helped me understand the theory of digital image creation and processing a little better.
I'm thinking lots of hot food might make me feel better, so
serinthia and I are going out for Chinese buffet.
'Till later.
