I really want some spinach and cheese pierogies right now. WANT! I swear I'm having flashbacks to eating at The Warsaw Inn with Posi, Tybis, and Samii this past weekend....

But lunch is again going to be more of the same Lean Gourmet and/or Fit And Active frozen things I buy at Aldi. Actually both lunches; I eat at 11 and again at 3. Helps me get through the day with less food overall since I space it out better.

I'm thinking very hard about buying one of these things for my car. They're a little cheaper at ThinkGeek.com and would probably save money in the long run. Nifty little things!

My new car keeps getting better millage at every fill up! I think this is due to me being more and more careful about modulating my driving. I made a little over 30MPG on my last fill up. I'm hoping that, if I get that nifty little ScanGauge I linked to above, I can save even more by finding the sweet spots for gas mileage on my car and sticking to them.

I tried to fit my bike into the back of my car this morning so I could ride at lunch. I failed because I can't remember how to disengage the brake cable on the front wheel so I can get the wheel off of it. When I got to work, I realized that I didn't have my laptop. I had this terrible fear that, while in the midst of pushing and shoving, I'd set the bag down on the driveway and left it there. Fortunately [livejournal.com profile] farm_cat was still home and she checked on it for me before going to work for the day. I'd left it in the garage. Could have been worse! Thanks mom.

Our new kitty is showing her face a little bit more these days. She's still spending a lot of time inside the lining of the couch, won't venture up past the first landing of the stairs (where her litterbox is), and objects strenuously to being picked up, but I see her wandering about the living room just about every morning when I do downstairs to let the dog out. If I walk over to her, she'll immediately flop over on her side and aggressively demand petting as long as I'm willing to provide it. I'm very glad she seems to be adjusting; I was worried for a while.

I'm going to see about going out to Union with my grandfather this weekend to see the trains if he's up to a trip. I'm going to call him after work. The other day of the weekend is going to be spent teamed up with my sweetie, cleaning the house. I'm hoping we have beautiful weather both days so I can enjoy the museum and maybe clean my truck out too. I need to get that thing on Craig's List and out of the driveway.

Andrea and I have been talking about going down to Looptopia to join some people who are going to be there on Friday next weekend. I think that should make for some awesome pictures! I should get in touch with this going and see about more info.

I'm been stuck on steam trains lately and have been reading up on them online. There's a steam loco making a run from Minnesota to Milwaukee and back coming up in a month or so. I plan to be there to take pictures. Anybody want to come with? [livejournal.com profile] sabrinageek?
