May. 23rd, 2008 11:32 pmAccording to my fuel gauge, I made it to Sheboygan on a quarter tank of gas. My gauge is a little bit miscalibrated, but that's still pretty good. I'm sitting in Green Bay now with half a tank. I pulled over to check the interwebs for directions since I think I missed my turn on to 41 off of 43. I'm blogging via a cellular internet connection from my car while Kuma, on a leash out my open driver's door, ignores the bowl of food I put down for him. Yes, I'm a raging dork.
I figured that the Festival Foods here would be a good waymark to use to get directions. And... *does a quick Google search* yes indeed, there's the address. Now, a little work with Mapquest and... presto. Directions to L'anse, Michigan. I'm hoping to make it to Iron Mountain tonight; we'll see how it goes from here.
I've been trying to call Andrea and let her know how things are going but have so far been unable to get through. Hey sweetie, I'm ok. I hope you are; I'm kind of concerned, but I'm sure things are fine. I just worry.
Hey, I mentioned I was going to try to find the Keweenau rocket range. I have GPS coordinates, but no GPS, so I was going to try to find it via the directions I found online. Well, when I stopped at Aldi to get supplies, I found a Garmin Foretrex Personal for $40. Snagged! The storm-mobile is now GPS enabled.
Mmm. Back to the road.
