Oct. 28th, 2008 07:23 pmSo I was going to post a bunch of Keweenau pictures to Flicker. Then I realized that I don't have them on this hard drive. Oops. So instead I started sorting through the 400-plus House on the Rock pictures I have and picking some to post. But then I realized that a number of them, particularly the ones of carousel creatures, have *GASP!!* bare breasts!
Being new to Flickr, I'm not sure how their moderation works. I'm not sure what constitutes 'moderate' versus 'restricted' comment, as used in their community guidelines. I guess I'll mark them as 'moderate'; I mean, they're just art pieces. It talks about considering what content would be appropriate to show 'your mum'. Considering that at Midwest Furfest one year,
moiracoon commented on a piece of rather explicit art and pointed out to the person next to her that it looked a lot like me, and my mother, who Moira then realized happened to be the person standing next to her, just looked at it herself and expressed agreement, that may not be the best standard to apply to pieces for consumption by the general public. I'm guessing that, by restricted, they're talking about things like full frontal nudity, but they're not really clear.
