Apr. 7th, 2009 10:58 amI'm amazed by some of the coincidences in life. Just astonished.
Take cars for instance. More specifically my car, or set of cars.
My cars have the occasional bit of mechanical difficulty. They, shall we say, break down, from time to time. This is not unusual, given the age of the cars that I drive. What does push the limits of credibility is the way that they invariably exhibit this behaviour as far from my place of residence as possible on my daily route. Every damn time.
I was really hoping that I'd have saved up some car-specific money by the time the next big car expense happened. I was going to use the money that had been going to pay off my last car and put it into a car fund. Unfortunately, I still owe about four or five hundred on my last car, so that idea didn't work out so well.
Posi and I are going to see about getting it working tonight. If not, I'll crash at his place and deal with it tomorrow.
It's a good thing my random whim of driving out to Iowa yesterday in honour of the passing of same sex marriage didn't come to fruition.
-------------
You know, I'm having ideations of quitting my job, taking a chunk of money, and hopping freight around the country for a month or two. I used to have those ideations in high school, except I didn't have any chunks of money to take. And now I'd take artsy photos and blog about it. See? As I grow up, my goals are getting more sophisticated! I think I'd go to Seattle and try to hang out with these kids for a while.
But most of that isn't really about the car I guess.
