Apr. 29th, 2009 03:29 pmI put a few laptops up on Ebay about a month ago and they didn't sell. I think fewer people are looking these days.
For my part, I'm just trying to make a few extra bucks to stash just in case we need it, or to go toward paying for either
moiracoon or myself to go back to school at some point when the economy in general is looking more stable.
But to make a long story short, I have a few laptops that I'm looking for a home for. I put them on Ebay for $150 with no takers, which really surprised me. Usually I start them there and they go to $250 or so, sometimes more. On the other hand, they are starting to get older too.
So if you, or anyone you know, is looking for a used laptop, please do let me know. I have a few of them right now. They are 1.6 or 1.8 ghz Pentium 4 M's with half a gig of RAM (I may be able to scrounge memory and get them to 1GB, but no promises), and 20 or 40 GB hard drives. The onboard wireless doesn't seem to work on them, but one of them will come with a wireless PC card (only have one, sorry.). From friends, I'd take $100 for them. I can't really gaurantee the hardware as it is all used, but I do my best to make sure it's all in good shape, including running Spinrite to check the hard drives. And if something fails on you, I'll do my best to help out. (A legal copy of Windows XP is included on these, by the way.)
I also still have a couple of desktops I'd like to sell if anyone is interested. I'd take less for those. If you'd like specs, I'd be happy to find them.
Thanks!
