Traffic question
May. 19th, 2009 10:17 pmI have a second phone interview tomorrow for an open position within my company. It would be at a different location. It's farther away, but I could take more highways. I'm trying to figure out how long it's actually going to take me to get there.
Right now, I live in Kenosha and work in Libertyville. Mapquest says it takes 42 minutes each way to get to work and back; it actually takes an hour because of traffic. Mapquest says the other office would take me an hour and seven minutes; I wonder how accurate that is. Can anyone who knows the area offer advice?
The other office is near the intersection of 90 and 171. Mapquest has me taking 94 to 294 to 90 to 171. As I said, it guesses an hour and seven minute. How awful are those roads during travel times? Is this going to be closer to a two hour one way trip? If so, even if it pays a lot better...I just don't think I can do it. If the actual transit time was just a touch over an hour, I could manage that. That's what I have now.
