stormdogThe move took longer than expected (which I rather expected. Is that contradictory? Oh well. As Walt Whitman said 'I am large, I contain multitudes'). So I got back too late to get to the job center (tomorrow) and instead am working on getting my server running with CD's borrowed from my dad's friend Bob. I am without my MP3's to listen to while working since they were all on my server, so I am making do with the TMBG CD's that I actually shelled out cash for once upon a time. With luck my mail server will be up again tonight. Then I can post stuff to E-bay too, like the 5 pairs of Doc Martens I picked up at Goodwill today.
Had a long and interesting conversation with my brother about relationships on the way home. I've never really had that sort of conversation with him or any of my family before. I may write more about it later, or more precisely, I may write about the thoughts the conversation inspired in me since I don't want to violate his privacy in any way.
Had a nice long talk with Andrea on the phone tonight too and I just feel so good after hearing her voice. I miss my beloved and we're both a bit stressed these days, but we're getting by. I am anxiously awaiting seeing her again in 9 days. We'll actually be going and looking at the apartment we're planning to have together. The apartment I helped move my dad's friend into today was actually rather like the one we're looking at as far as rooms and size. I had just a touch of happy expectation as I thought about the time, not so far off, when I'll be moving my stuff into our apartment....
