Igor and the Instruments of Surgery
Work on Igor the white Neon went well. Juan and I got the car on jackstands and removed the rear wheels. After that, I mainly watched and handed tools to Juan and avoided getting in his way since he knows what the hell he's doing. In the space of maybe two or three hours he had the passenger rear line replaced and was most of the way done with the driver's side line. Unfortunately, we found that the line we had was about six or seven inches too short. Maybe even less than that. Damn. So tomorrow we're going to get more line and finish up. It was getting dark by that point so we stopped, 'cause working in the dark is crappy. I then took Juan out for pizza at the pizza buffet that
While he was working, I occupied myself for a bit with taking pictures of the process. Some of them came out pretty well, and I have three more up on Flickr. Still loving my new lens with a fierceness.
Igor is hungry and demands brake line!!
So that's where those bone-rattling exhaust noises all the way through those forty hours of driving to New York City and back were coming from.

I also managed, today, to get pictures taken for some docking stations and an Ultrium tape drive, as well as getting all twelve desktop computers together, testing them out to see just what state they're all in, and wiping some hard drives. Yay me!
