Oct. 25th, 2009 04:24 pmIt's so hard for me to get motivated about putting stuff into Ebay. But I got so much done on the rest of the house these last couple weeks, and now that's where I need to focus next. Getting stuff out of the computer room and garage. I get bogged down trying to write copy, and take all these dull pictures, and then I think about the hassle of finding boxes and packing things nicely. Bleh.
I also went through a bag of my old stuff that used to be living in No-LJ-James' closet (in what used to be my room) until he moved to Lansing. Included is a Ford-branded vehicle mountable air horn (the first thing I ever bought on Ebay and which I never got around to putting onto my old Ford truck) and a box of Illustrated Wildlife Treasury cards. Does anybody remember those? You bought a subscription and you'd get a packet of cards once a month. Then you could sort and categorize them all in several different ways. I remember this being enthralling to a young Storm-pup. I've had a thing for sorting and organizing all my life.
Anyway, if any of you would like either of those, let me know. Otherwise I'll put them on Ebay, but it doesn't look like I'll get much for them, so I'd rather just give them to someone and save the trouble.
Oh, I also have one more TC1000 HP tablet. This is a very innovatively designed tablet that features a completely detachable keyboard. The display and all the computer guts are in a slate-style tablet, which will mount onto a separate keyboard unit if you want full laptop functionality. Personally, I don't understand why more tablets aren't designed this way. I think it's really the highest form of what a tablet ought to be.
Unfortunately, it's discontinued and, at this point, pretty underpowered. I don't think any other laptops like it have been made since it was discontinued. I'm reinstalling Windows on it now in preparation to Ebay it. Anybody interested?
