Oct. 28th, 2009 08:59 pmI had a really nice lunch at a local pizza place, Kaiser's, with
megmoves today, who I don't get to see nearly as often as I'd like.
Tonight, I had dinner with my parents and played with their new Wii fit. It's so weird; the balancing/juggling game actually feels like juggling! How do they do that? And my five ball cascade lasted about as long as my real-life one does too! Which is to say, about three seconds. *laughs*
I'm working on packing stuff up tonight so I'm ready plenty ahead of time. That way I still get to have a Thursday night date with
moiracoon. (Wow; I almost just typed her old LJ name!) I'm taking my bag with me on the train to Chicago tomorrow morning; I'm going to work in the office that day, then meet up with
rileybear67 for a spot of dinner, then head over to Union to get on the train. I'm leaving at 6:10, and will arrive in Washington in the early afternoon on Saturday. So excited about this train trip! So excited about meeting
savant_da_rat and
ankhorite in person! Squee!
My new batteries for my camera showed up on Monday. They're 2000mah batteries, which should give me more than enough power for a long day of shooting when combined with my two existing ones. I have fourteen gigs worth of storage for the camera, and I can't imagine filling that up in a day either. I think I'm pretty well set!
And before I get back to it, here for your amusement is a sheep from the Wisconsin Dells Harvest Festival petting zoo. You know, they're even cuter in real life. Honest. Their wool is so floofy and thick and warm!!
The picture is way too dark. The animals were all under a blue nylon canopy and the color balance is messed up. I could probably fix it in Photoshop, but I've got stuff to do over here!
