At the end of April, 2005, Moira and I were on our way to the wilds of Wisconsin with the last of our remaining possessions from the apartment in Warren we'd just moved out of. We both decided to drive through some of the more abandoned areas of Detroit on the way out for photo ops, and then proceed west along US-12 through the Irish Hills.
We had to stop, of course, at Michigan Central Station, a building that I feel personally attached to to a strange degree for one who isn't a Detroit native. And one that I wouldn't be seeing again for quite some time.

Or maybe this is my favorite shot of MCS I've taken. The station was pretty dark in this one and it needed a little Photoshop help, but it sure came out nicely with a little selective brightening.
I've been thinking about our last move, back in 2005, as we come up to this next one, which will probably again be in April. This, at least, will be around five-hundred miles less to haul all of our stuff.

Fixing my camera is going to be a little pricy. I don't have the money for it right now, but when I do, I'll have to think about the choice between repairing my 20D, or maybe buying a used 40D. I saw one for a surprisingly good price on Craigslist a while ago, and I think I could get a deal if I keep my eye on them. In the meantime, it at least works and isn't lost, and I can get by with that.
And now to pack up more of my computer room. I might get to sorting out what games stay and which will go on our board game shelf in the basement too!
