I just saw this on Freecycle and am feeling so much pain that I can't take this dog now. Right now. *sighs* I want a Shepherd Dog so much....

If you know anyone who would like a big dog who needs a little extra attention, please pass this along.

I know this is a long shot ... but ...

we are trying to find an adoptive home for our male German Shepard. He's 7 years old but still acts like a puppy :-). The special needs part is his ongoing problem with ear infections that we have been battling for a while now. My husband is home only couple days every month and with a toddler and baby due next month, I just cannot and will not be able to take care of our dog's health the way we would like to. (The infections can be taken care of in a fairly simple manner but require regular cleaning and treatments preferably couple times a day to be really effective and I just cannot handle it and will not be able to ... due to high risk and scheduled surgery and recovery).

We would like him to go to someone who has experience with this (if experienced with German Sheps, that would be even better) and can really devote the time to him. Needs a well fenced-in yard (with a large dog like this it's a must) and is not used to cats. He has been our only dog so I do not know how he would be around other dogs. He would need to stay probably in a garage for now (or similar place) because of the ear infections. He is very lovable and loves any attention and play time. Oh, and he is up-to-date with all his shots.

We're in north part of Lake Villa but I am posting this for Kenosha freecycle group for now as he loves being outside and I think that the area is great for a larger dog like him, so please, spread the word for us. We'd greatly appreciate it.
