I just made an appointment to have the exhaust on Igor fixed up tomorrow at the shop that Mechanic Juan works at. That'll be nice to have done.

Tonight, I'm going over to Serin and Todd's place for the usual watching of anime and Solitary (the only reality show I actually enjoy!).

I have leftover awesome-sauce pizza with me for lunch, and coworker G randomly bought me a spinach and feta roll from Au Bon Pain. "Try it, you'll like it!" I did. Yummm!

I've been up around five o' clock today and yesterday as I try to get used to the idea of getting up at 4:30 to make it to the train from Racine. I'm going to try and do that all week, and maybe get some exercise in the morning. Take a bike ride or go to the gym and do forty-five minutes on the elliptical before settling in for work.

I may have to buy a router tonight or tomorrow too. I can at least get an internet connection if I plug right in to my cable modem, but that's not terribly convenient, and no one else (such as a certain raccoon) will be able to be online while I'm working. That's not cool.

I'm trying to decide on what kind of voice recorder I want. There's an awesome discussion of the options over here at the Vermont Folklife Center page, but that gear is more than a little pricy for just starting out at this. I think I'll get something pretty cheap, but that can take an external microphone. Then, my first upgrade will probably be to the Electro-Voice 635A or 635A/B that they mention there. If I get that far and deep into it.

I'm going to take a break here at lunch and check out the public housing exhibit that's in the first floor of the Merchandise Mart right now. It's a small, temporary display until a full museum opens up somewhere. At some point, now that Spring is here, I also want to get over to the Blommer Chocolate factory store on a lunch break.

Life is pretty good right now, and I still feel mostly relaxed, prepared to deal with work, and excited about my ideas.

I hope you're all keeping your heads above water.
