Jun. 21st, 2010 09:32 amYesterday,
moiracoon and I went out together for a late lunch, and then to the thrift store at Lamb's Farm. I didn't even know there was a thrift store there! I almost bought a five dollar book, but decided against after much deliberation. It was really neat; it was illustrated Beatles lyrics, with commentary by the band members. There were a number of things in it that I can't imagine getting by a modern publishing house. But I have enough stuff. I don't need more.
I had a really nice trip with you Moira; thanks. *hugs*
I'm still planning a trip to DeKalb on Wednesday after work to see that camera. Perseverance still needs the exhaust system redone, but I'll get by. It's not horribly loud once I'm up to cruising speed. I should be able to get there and back on half a tank of gas. Maybe less since it's highway driving. It'll be fun to finally take a long trip with my new steed.
I'm hoping to hear from somebody who wants to look at the Neon either today or Wednesday. If it's Wednesay, it'll need to be before five-thirty, 'cause I need to go.
And
synicism and I are going to the pride parade in Chicago this weekend. I've never been to a pride parade before and I'm really looking forward to it! It'll be really nice to see Syn again too.
The back of my neck is so sunburned; that was not very smart, working out on the car without sunscreen. I just wan't thinking about it. I'm not doing that again. At least this year. I'll forget about it over the winter.
Where is all the time going this year? I was going to have done so much more travelling by the beginning of summer. There's been a lot of change and chaos in my life these days and time is getting away from me.
