stormdog今日はKenoshaに行きます。ChicagoからKenoshaまで車で一時かん半ぐらいかかります。
Kenoshaにははとちちを見って御飯を食べって僕のへやをそおじします。
I'm going to Kenosha today. From Chicago to Kenosha by car takes about an hour and a half. In Kenosha I will see my mom and dad, eat a meal, and clean my room (that I'll be living in come the Fall).
Next week is the last day of my current level of Japanese class. I've signed up for the next one, wherein we'll all receive the new book. It's Japanese for Busy People Level II, and this one will be the kana version instead of the romainzed one, so that makes me happy. I'd left my book in the car last week so sensei loaned me one that was the kana version and I did pretty well with reading from it. I like having to read Japanese script more and more to get used to it. I really want to get to the point where I can look at a page of kanji and hiragana and casually see bits of meaning; verb inflections and other oft-repeated elements. A smell step toward the level of proficiency I have with English such that I can scan whole pages in a few moments while looking for a particular sentence or word. Right now, I have to apply active concentration to each sentence to scan through and understand what I'm looking at.
But I've gained a great deal from these classes and I'm very happy I decided to sign up for them.
