Feb. 13th, 2004 06:57 pmI ate a bunch of the sesame seed bread stick snack things I bought a while ago and some other not-good-for-you snacky stuff before playing my daily Dance Dance today. Having played relatively consistently for a while (more days than not over the last two weeks and this was the third in a row), I could really feel the differance in my body. It seemed to somehow weigh me down and I had to work at it to get up to the really good form I was showing yesterday. The only other time I've been good enough at something for lack of practice and/or indulgence in food to show in my performance was when I was doing a lot of juggling and, as then, I find it really kind of neat that I'm improving enough to notice that.
On the other hand, it seems that, despite trying to avoid songs with a lot of jumps and air time, I'm being too loud for our downstairs neighbors. This is somewhat frustrating as I'm not only really enjoying playing Dance Dance, but it's also serves to occupy my mind and keep me from being stressed. Plus I'm getting in better shape again after having, err, slacked for a bit after the move. It feels so good to live in a (relatively) healthy and fit body, to be able to perform physical exertion without tiring so quickly. I'm putting my mind to this; I'm creative enough to solve problems of logistics like this I think. I am considering buying a cheap thrift store TV and keeping it in our basement storage room along with the dance pad, then bringing the PS2 downstairs and playing in the basement when I want to, if I can find a power outlet down there. It'll be sort of inconvenient I suppose, but at least that way I won't have to worry about what songs I play at all. I just have to find some scrap carpet to lay down under the pad...
