stormdogHow strange and wonderful, to read an in-depth profile of a Detroit autoworker in Fortune magazine in 1935, and to be able to look up his address (which was there in the piece) on Google Maps and find his house. I wonder who lives there now? I wonder if they'd be interested in learning about this man and his family and the many little bits of his life pieced together here.
So often, I look at houses and wonder what their story is. Who's lived there, what they were like, what that place meant to them. On this one rare instance, I got to satisfy a bit of that brand of curiosity. I didn't know this house myself, but I've been in the neighborhood.
