Mar. 4th, 2004 06:21 pmStoped at New Horizons for my appointment after work today. The woman I've been talking to, Chris coincidentally enough, is very friendly and likable. She enjoyed seeing my resume and seemed to think that the variety of experience I have is extremely good. We talked about my computer skills briefly and about things I've done in that area and what I'd like to accomplish and she thinks I'm a really good candidate for the program. Though I think so too of course, it was very nice to hear that from her.
New Horizons feels very right for me. Chris gave me the tour of the place, showing off the classrooms, the A+ hardware lab (lots of computers sitting open, ready to be worked on!) and their real computer room, with banks and banks of rack mounted hardware. I peeked in the window and said "Ooooh, blinkies......"
I have the loan application here, ready to fill out. It seems that I owe the hospital that treated me for my broken arm a year and a half ago $8 according to my credit report that she got. Guess I'll have to talk to my parents who handled the billing through Badgercare and figure out where to send a check. Then I'll be all ready. This is really going to proceed, and I'll start classes on the 19th of next month.
This is going to be awesome.
