The Roxy Theatre in Lockport, Illinois is one of many theatres that bear the name. Each one is a small testament to the enduring power of the grand New York movie palace that popularized it.
Interestingly, the current use of this theatre (as of January of 2012) seems to be a nightclub. While that's not an uncommon new purpose for theatres, this one is unusual in that it tries to provide a safe place to socialize for people with mental illnesses from nearby treatment centers.
