I spent most of Friday sleeping. I came home early from work, leaving at about 12:30 when my lunch break started. I was feeling more and more fuzzy headed and dizzy and I was starting to have this sort of cold sweat going on and I decided that I really needed to leave. I stopped at the post office on the way to mail ebay goods and scurried home, where I snuggled up with Meeko for the first time in a long time (that's my big raccoon plushy) and fell asleep. I spent most of the next 14 hours or so alternately sleeping and being in what I'll call a reverential trance for lack of better words. Just laying down half unconscious, thoughts of the day, the week, and other random things passing chaotically through my brain. Somewhere in the midst of that I ran very briefly out to a fabric store to confirm that I liked the fabric Andrea was looking at and we ate dinner too, but it's a little fuzzy to me. I don't know how much of my feeling strange was physical and how much of it was just a mental need to 'take some time off' (I've been a little bit stressed), but when I finally woke at about quarter after five this morning, my beloved curled up with me, I felt so very much better.

And what a waking up it was! A huge clap of thunder outside to tell me that I was in the midst of the first good storm I'm aware of for this year. It felt so good, like Spring was finally here to infuse it's energy into the world! Thunder cracking through the air, lightning lighting the sky, rain pouring onto the roof; glorious! I spent a perfect lazy morning snuggling and talking with my sweetie 'till I finally had to get out of bed for work (yes, I had to work today). Meh. Overtime pay just isn't worth my weekends to me; my time to myself and time with my star is too important. Still, I should be able to use the overtime to finish paying off my debt to UW-Parkside this month, and that will be good. Just in time to incur another multi-thousand dollar debt as I start my schooling next month! Heh.

My sweetie bought 6 yards of wool tartan (the stuff I ran out and checked on yesterday) while I was at work. She now has what she needs for a kilt for me! This will be fun to wear at faire. In other wearables news, my sunrise and I went thrift shopping today for shirts to wear to work. I am tired of getting grease and stuff on shirts I care about, so we picked up ones that I won't have to worry about it with. We tried to find the best ones we could in XXL. We found some good ones. And I mean good in a really strange, surrealist sort of sense. Here are the eight we picked up from least odd to most head-scratchingly far out
  • White shirt, front "I GOT A 14 POINT traffic violation in BUCK county.
  • White shirt, Front "I am certifiable!" Back: "I called *number* and became a certified computer nerd!" (It's advertising computer classes)
  • A red shirt, loudly proclaiming "Bernie's Bunch"
  • Purple shirt, front has an 'IM' inside a 'Q' logo and text "Inquisitive Minds" back has same logo and text "Do You Think?"
  • Red shirt, front; "BUTCH'S" back; "37". heh 'Andrea's girlfriend is so butch...'
  • blue shirt, front has A collage of scouting imagery and text "Cub Scout Day Camp DAC 2002"
  • Yellow shirt, front; "Deliverence temple" and graphic. Back; "Sunday school is AWESOME!"
  • Maroon shirt, front blank; back "6th Annual Memorial In Memory Of Our Beloved Charles L. Persell Born April 20, 1936 Deceased Nov. 19, 1995" No, I have no idea who this person is. Google does not help, except for someone by that name who was a 'suffragan bishop of Albany'. Does not seem to be the same guy.
  • The best of all; white shirt, blank back, front has pictures of an elderly black couple with the text "Stagger Family Reunion" and, inside a tree graphic, the names "Dorothy, Grace, Prince, Eunice, and (get this) Mussolini. *Storm giggles himself into a fit* If anybody asks, my name is Mussolini Stagger! That's better than Cassanova Frankenstein!

Well, I have to help the raccoon find missing ebay items, then go watch a movie. Goodnight!
