stormdogI've been thinking about buying a new version of Word. I'm still on 2003, and it makes for a few compatibility issues with people (like fellow students and my professors) who are using newer versions. I figured I could buy a student copy and it would be relatively inexpensive.
As it turns out, the newest version of Word won't run on my system since I'm still using Windows XP. I guess I could install 7 or 8, but I'd probably have to buy the OS. That's probably expensive enough that I might as well buy a whole new machine, right?
Meh. I don't want to change things around. I *like* Windows XP, and my desktop does everything I want it to do, except for word processing. Which is funny. I mean, really, word processing software is what I might have to update my hardware and OS for? *sighs*
