On the way home today, my rear derailleur completely iced over. First I lost the top two gears because the ice restricted the mechanism from moving down to them. Then the bottom cog here became encased in ice and the chain just started skipping over it. You'll note that the teeth are barely poking out of the disc of ice surrounding them.
