Photography Rights

This link goes to a short story on the ACLU's site about a man who was investigated by government agents for photographing public art from a public place. Keeping stories like this in mind gives me a bit more courage to stand up for the right to photograph. I feel that I'm standing up not just for my rights, but for the rights of everyone to document and record public places and events. It's a critical right that everyone from from federal and state officials to private security guards make frequent attacks on, often invoking the so-called war on terror as justification for misuse of real or perceived authority.
