Console Games into Board Games

stormdogI took most of the console gaming stuff that's been sitting here for a long time over to the local game store to trade it in for credit. Hardware-wise, there was the SNES, two N64s, and a Dreamcast, plus the various peripherals. There were a bunch of games too. In total, it was worth $125 in store credit.
It makes me a little sad and nostalgic. But the good associations I have with SNES and N64 games come from sitting and playing with my brothers and friends rather than from the hardware itself, and I can do that on a good emulator on a PC. I'll entrust the care of the actual hardware to people who who appreciate it and will use it more than I have.
Instead, I'm turning it into new board games that I will create more good memories with. They are ordering Tzolk'in for me and expect it to arrive on Tuesday next. I'll have to think about what the other 1.5 or so games II'll buy will be.
