General Update

stormdogI made a quick grocery store run to the Save-a-Lot near me. Selection was mediocre, but they do have the pot pies I like. I got a giant frozen lasagna too. Those are a good value for the number of meals I get out of them.
There was what might have been the tail end of a confrontation happening in the parking lot. There were a couple of police cars around and people who sounded aggravated talking loudly. I studiously ignored that on the way in, and on the way out since it was still happening.
I played a game of Small World: Underground via Vassal (a board game emulating platform) with Miriam this evening. Though I think it's less than idea with two players, time with her is always idyllic.
But I'm feeling wiped out. It's been hot here and I haven't been getting the best sleep. I'm going to see if I can get to bed a little earlier than usual, then get to the campus library in the morning and read for five or six hours. I'll make some mac and cheese to bring with me for lunch. That sounds good.
