stormdogI called my brother to chat with him and he wasn't home. Phoo. I was going to ask his advice on titles to look for at the used game store.
I wandered around there for a while and found nothing of note. On the way there though, I did notice that the Dearborn public library is located right across the street from where I work. Woohoo! No sitting about in the lobby of a corporate coffee house for me. Instead, I get to browse through dusty tomes for a few hours. Now that's my kind of day. I've been picking some strange things to browse through though...
The first thing that caught my eye and pulled me over to it was a copy of the collected writings of Ambrose Bierce. For those unfamiliar with the man, he was born in the mid 1800s (I think I remember the book saying 1842) and wrote a bunch of stuff about the Civil War and and its times that all exudes creepiness on a level with Poe.
Next, as I, according to my habit, just wandered between shelves, I found a book that was comprised of interviews with mid-teen to early twenties gang members about their lives. This was creepy on an entirely different level, though it was interesting to read and feel like I understood such things a little bit better.
Hmm; maybe I'll go and sit down with Andrea's book that I'm still carrying around with me here. I still haven't managed to find any sizable collection of fiction though. Maybe it's on the first floor...
Mrrf. I'm hungry. Can't wait for my mate to get here so we can grab some shish-ta-wook and hummus!
