A first test photo with the Sigma 400mm f5.6 Pentax K-mount lens I scored a while ago for $13. Can't beat that price! I shot this from halfway across my living room and through the window at a balcony of a building across the alley.
The aperture lever was broken at its pivot point in the lens body. The lever pushes down on a button that closes the aperture down to the position set on the lens ring, so the aperture would not close down from 5.6. I've got it working by super-gluing the piece of metal actuated by the lever. The camera can't stop the lens down automatically for exposure metering, but that's fine; I can just set the aperture and meter manually.
I *love* it when I can fix things!
There's a bunch of schmutz in this photo, either in the lens, or on the camera sensor. It's been a long time since I used my cameras much so I'm not sure which. But I have another lens to test with.

And here's that lens mounted on my grandpa's camera. I want to try photographing some birds or something now!
