I got pretty comfortable with Perseverance through the 550ish miles we covered since the middle of August. Enough to really miss being able to change gears without pedaling and while sitting still. I'd probably ride him to work once or twice a week, except that I put worn out tires that I don't trust on him. I guess I'm glad I never got around to tossing them. It's not the right weather for the studded ones yet, so those are still in the closet.

Gear mechanism aside, being on Longing again feels great! Would anybody like to go for a ride with me this weekend? I might go up to the botanic gardens.

It's ridiculously hot here today. I walked to Jewel over lunch for groceries and was dripping sweat by the time I got back.
