What is Marriage Equality?

stormdogI seem to be in that state of mind where absolute statements just don't make any sense at all.
"Marriage equality doesn't exist anywhere until X."
What is marriage equality then? No one anywhere on Earth right now has it? How do we know when it has been accomplished? I'm not convinced that it is even definable in this sense.

Date: 2019-09-20 03:27 pm (UTC)Maybe I just need to not think about it too much. We all want the same things anyway. But it's hard to feel like part of a movement, to feel solidarity with people who care about some of the things I care about, when their messaging doesn't make sense to me. I could write more about the way it's so hard for me to feel like a member of groups in general because of these divergent ways of thinking, but that's probably a whole 'nother topic.
