stormdogMy simple hard drive swap on my server turned into a reinstall/rebuild; both the old hard drive in it's new box and the new hard drive in the old box are giving me unreachable boot partition errors. Must be some weird incompatibility in the IDE controllers or something. It's very frustrating; I've never seen it before and I was really hoping to get to bed early to prepare for the trip to Bong we're taking tomorrow, but not only is this a production server that's running my email and web servers, but this is a production server that hosts Andrea's Ebay pictures. This thing being down is a serious financial issue. So, I'm up till it is.
*woofs* I'm so tired. I spent four hours refinishing the floor at the theatre today and another four helping the light tech (the assistant director, since they couldn't find anyone else) get the light cues programmed and teaching her how to use the board. I made a deal with myself though; I stayed there as long as it took tonight ('till 11:30), and I'm not going back again this week if there's any way to avoid it. The rest of my vacation belongs to me and my mate. Forgive me if I don't seem too inclined toward social get togethers for the nonce; I'm simply not.
I can't wait for our trip to Bong this morning. Until then, I'm trying to finish this rebuild, looking for decent yiffy stuff online, and trying not to think about all the work that I'm going to have to wade through on Monday. I hope you all are well...
