Riot Whataboutism

I'm annoyed with posts that respond to what's happening in Minneapolis with pictures of burning cityscapes linked to sports games. The two things are not related at all. Pointing out the hypocrisy (and it is hypocrisy) of being more upset by riots caused by civil-rights abuses than riots caused by pop cultural events is whataboutism. The two events are not related and these posts are based on a logical fallacy. It gives others license to use the same methods to attack our own positions.
