I forgot to mention this at the time, but it was pretty strange.
I went out for lunch with Evil Bob and Ron last week. We went to a Chinese place where I had some very good sweet and sour chicken. My two companions got typical fortune cookies, praising their skill with people saying how great their futures will be.
Mine simply said "You will soon be crossing the great waters." The happy little smiley faces preceeding and following the statement served only to heighten the sense of foreboding. Considering that I've watched several Asian horror movies recently and know that water is symbolic of death and mystery, not to mention the unusual prophetic tone of the message, I'm slightly unsettled. Have any of you ever received an odd fortune cookie like that?
