Job Application!

I had to print and sign a form for this job application. It's the first time I'm writing an official business-type signature with my actual name and I'm kind of excited about it to a slightly embarrassing extent. *happy puppy-girl noises*

(I like the sort of symmetry of the connected loops of the "g" and "h" next to each other like that...)

Are you using your entire first name?

That used to be such a tradition- that women did and men didn't.

Monstrously sexist I know, but even now I still sign with my entire name.

Do you mean Meghan instead of something like Meg? On the form I did since it's part of a job application and shortened versions feel unprofessional. In daily life? Just about the only person I hear my name from these days is Miriam and she calls me Meghan and it give me no end of joy. I was talking with someone I've mentioned before, Train Girl: she started calling me Megs, and I kind of liked it.

My first name shortens but anyone who does so dies as I loathe the shortened version!

I mean signing with both full first name and last name- the tradition used to be that we did but guys just initialled.

Oh, interesting. I didn't realize that was a thing, though I'm not surprised. Though having spend most of my life thinking I was a boy, I still always felt like I needed to use my full, unabbreviated name.
