Apr. 16th, 2003 11:26 pmAs I was showering tonight, I shampooed my hair and then put conditioner in as usual. Then I realized that I had, in fact, just put shampoo in a second time. I realized shortly that conditioner doesn't really lather like that... It's that rascally raccoon distracting me again. *smile* We talked for a good long time on the phone tonight and she reminded me that it's only 16 days 'till Penguicon. The count down is on, synchronize your watches! *giggle*
Played DDR and wore myself out. I haven't played in about a month, and though I still have the skill (mostly), I am really out of shape for it. It's an interesing revelation. I've never kept at one physical activity for a long enough stretch to notice that I was getting in shape for it, or when I've lost it again. I have to do that more often, it's fun...
Seems my brother is going up to the UP (that's the Michigan Upper Peninsula for non-locals) with his girlfriend this weekend or next. The UP is a really pleasant and peaceful area as I recall from my one or two trips there. I hope they have a good time. I expect they will. They're such a cute couple! I can't remember how long they've been together now, but they're still so sweet and cuddly with each other... *grin*
Yesterday was Jiffy, our layout person and one of our graphic designers, last day at work. I'll miss her. She seemed much more approachable than most of the other people working at Kenzerco. I got a chance to chat with her on several occasions while we were dealing with mailing out the issues of KODT (something like 4000 magazines to process I think) and I got to know her a little bit. She's big into animè, music, computer techy stuff, and may other interesting things. I enjoyed working with her, and I wish her well at her new job. Her husband is still working at Kenzer. He's our other graphical expert (though I don't think he does much layout work) I thought it was really nifty having a husband and wife working in the same place. He evern wrote "I'll miss you" on the card that everone signed for her. How sweet! She read it and, with a smile, told him, "I'll be seeing you at home you know." *giggle*
