May. 12th, 2003 08:41 pmHad an ok time Sunday. My family went out to my grandparent's house for Mother's Day festivities. Well, some of them. My dad and my middle brother both stayed home to do homework, though when I left Jim was playing Warcraft III...
Anyway, had a modicum of fun over there. I played much pinball, and then examined the old Pachinko machine that hasn't been working in years. Then, to my surprise, I fixed it. I looked at it and noted that there were lots and lots of balls stuck in the scoring chutes. So in a long series of picking the machine up, shaking it around a little, and collecting all the little steel balls falling on the ground (repeat numerous times), I had cleared out the jam and the thing was actually working. I found that the noises and feel of that pachinko machine are ingrained into my brain almost as deeply as the feel of the old Elton John pinball table they have, though I found the Pachinko didn't quite have the same thrill I remember from when I was 8 or so and used to play with it all the time. Still, it was a good diversion for a while.
Other than that, I chatted intermittantly with various relatives, got vaguely annoyed with my aunt 'cause she got annoyed with me for playing with the dogs..., and finally took a nap on the floor of the sewing/video game room snuggled up with my grandparent's giant stuffed brown bear plush. It was nice.
I also learned that both my DDR pads seem to have dead back arrows. This kinda sucks. But my brother and I have been talking about trying to buy a metal one... We'll see how money looks. That would be really nifty.
I had pasta for dinner. Ravioli to be precise. This makes me happy.
