(no subject)

I saw some furniture framing type stuff being thrown out on the way home today, so my mother and I went back out a little later to liberate some of the good 2by stock. I used it to hack together some booster legs for the new bathroom vanity/sink thing we bought that was too short to address the water inlets effectively. The height is good now. The vanity is still flimsy and cheap as hell, but at least it'll work. As my mother said, whenever we sell the house we're going to have to redo the entire bathroom anyway, so I guess we can live with cheap for now. I still wish though, that my dad had decided we had enough time to search the local furnitiure/fixture recycling warehouses for perhaps a nice pedestal sink to replace the broken counter. I like pedestal sinks, and it would make the bathroom much more open and roomy. *shrug* Oh well.

I was going to write about the work I did on computers, but I see I did that already. I didn't remember writing a word of it 'till I looked at it. I must've been tired. I'm feeling a bit better today though. Had a nice short eight hour day. Heh. And my dad and I stopped at Goodwill on the way home, where I found a copy of 'Isaac Asimov's Robots VCR mystery game' still in the shrink wrap. Kinda cool to look at, but I'm going to try ebaying it soon. I'm definately getting into this online auction scene, but I'm limiting myself to one item per trip to the thrift stores, unless I really know what I'm looking at. Too much temptation to clutter my space up with junk, which is not something I ought to be doing right now.
