My work with Kenzer and Company is finished once again. We got everything, and I mean everything, out of the warehouses and office space, loaded up the last of the three semi trailers, pillaged the garbage (always the best part), and went home. I ended up with, empty boxes for the move, copious amounts of Monty Pythin and the Holy Grain CCG cards (does anyone want any?), and a somewhat sliced up 35mm print of the movie by the same name. I just think an actual 35mm copy of MPatHG is an amazingly cool and geeky think to have. However, since it would just end up collecting dust in the basement if I had it, my dad and I are going out to UW-Parkside tomorrow to present it to Nate, who is probably the biggest Python geek I have ever met. I know he'll appreciate it, as well as the uncut sheets of cards we're giving him. *grin*

Having left work early, I was able to get to the U-Haul place in Kenosha to look into renting a trailer. That looks like it'll work out really well. There's a little bit of flexibility there which, seeing as how I'm not yet entirely certain which day I'm leaving, is a very handy thing. Then I went home and unsuccessfully tried to install a CB radio into my car. I was going to splice it into the cigarette lighter power, but there's only half a volt on the line. Something's messed up with the electrical system and I couldn't trace the wire back far enough to find the root of it. I wired it directly into the battery, but it seemed to get a lot of interference that way. *shrug* I'm not going to spend any more time on it for a while, quite possibly 'till next summer. Taking the dashboard apart once was enough for this week, and the weather is starting to get cold.

It's been positively chilly these last few mornings as I walked out to the car to go to work. The end of the year is fast approaching. The cold in the air and the smell of the season reminds me of the snow-covered ground and the bitter cold of the night I met [livejournal.com profile] wooisme. I can't belive it's been over six months. Did anyone see the beautiful scintillating rainbow in the sky yesterday, as a light drizzle fell over northern Illinois where I was at the time? It was purely breathtaking. Somehow it reminded me of my dear one...
