(no subject)

Andrea and I will be leaving for Chicago not long after she gets home in half an hour or so. It'll be good to see our Illinois/Wisconsin people again. I've spent today cleaning up and packing. When I wasn't sleeping, that is. Plus I'm attempting to sign up with another staffing agency that lachupacabra informed me about, though I got the feeling during my brief conversation with their representative that I may not be quite what they're looking for. In any case, I've sent off my resume and I expect to hear back from them sometime next week as they're a little back-logged at the moment.

My night shift work is done. I still haven't heard whether I'll be cotinuing this work during the day next week, but I'm very glad to have my evenings to myself to spend with Andrea again. She's a bit suspicious about Kelly Services, and I am leaning in that direction myself. They told me that, though they are considering me for clerical work, all they've been recieving orders for is light industrial stuff. tinytroll, though, told me that he just got a clerical work assignment through Kelly paying $11 an hour. Would the Kelly Services rep really go beyond being vague and imprecise and actually lie about what kind of job requests they're receiving? I just assumed they were telling the truth and that the job Max had was a rare piece of work that he was in the right place/right time for, but perhaps I'm too trusting. My dear one thinks that it might be my hair. *shrug* Well, with nothing better presenting itself as of yet, I'll keep working where I can, keep looking for something permanent, and keep working at my A+ book. As daveqat warned me, the market for computer people is pretty glutted right now, but getting a cert or two can't hurt. Maybe I'll even get lucky and end up doing something with them.

Gotta go get my clothes out of the dryer. 'Till later...
