(no subject)

I've spent this eveing putting up various pieces of art around the apartment. They've been sitting in geekland for a while 'cause we just hadn't gotten around to putting them up. We have two framed posters with wine grapes in the dining room (one for reds and one for whites), an abstract piece in the hallway that I carefully hung for a centered view through the bathroom door, and I plan to hang a picture of one of my dear one's dad's cats up above my computer desk. It's a hand painted oil piece that one of his students did for him. The best part of tonight though was hanging the big mirror up in the bedroom on the wall across from the foot of the bed. With that there and a taper candle sconce on each side of it, it looks really cozy and warm. With the lights off and the candles lit, flickering light reflecting off the mirror and onto the bed, it's just wonderfully romantic. I look forward to spending time in there talking, snuggling, and, well, doing other things, with my sweetie... *smile* Doing work on the apartment and getting things organized is very fulfilling for me, and I love seeing the results. I was feeling kind of worried about my raccoon today, but she seems very happy and content tonight too. I feel pretty good tonight...
